Director profile
Dr.N.V.Pundarikanthan completed his degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s in water Resources and Ph.D.,@ the University of Minnesota, USA. He has a long and creditworthy experience of more than 40 years as Lecturer, Professor, Director and Professor Emeritus in the College of Engineering, Guindy and then Anna University. Later he served/serving as Principal and Director in private colleges.

In a nutshell,
Taught subjects Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Machinery, Water Resource Management, Groundwater Hydrology, Irrigation Management, etc.         
Served as member in several state & national level committees as Hydrology Task force committee for Improvement of tanks in Tamilnadu & India.    

Served as member in several AICTE, UGC, NBA Review & Monitoring committees
Organized and conducted several State & National level Seminars & Symposia, refresher courses and training programs.
Guided 40 ME and 13 Ph.D.Theses.
Guided and motivated the Tamilnadu Tank Modernization Project which accrued a huge funding of several hundred crores in the past 20 Years to the irrigation sector.
During his term as Director, Centre for Water Resources an autonomous centre in Anna University, executed several research and consultancy projects.
With a blend of teaching, research, training and consultancy he is contributing to the development of the Institute to a large extant.
