Our college SMK Fomra strictly adheres to the academic calendar including for the conduct of Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) as follows:

1. Academic Schedule—Before commencement of each semester, Anna university notifies an academic schedule, which contains date of commencement, last working day, etc.
2. Academic Calendar—The Principal prepares an institute-level Academic Calendar in accordance with university’s schedule, which contains details like individual / total working days per month, holidays, internal assessment schedule, unit-wise completion, dates for institute-level programs, etc. The institute-level calendar is customized by the HoDs to include co-curricular activities such as Guest lecture, Industrial visit, Workshops, etc.
3. Adherence—All classes and conduct of CIE are strictly followed as per academic calendar, ensuring complete adherence except in case of unforeseen circumstances. In case of any revision/update of university schedule, the changes are incorporated into the academic calendar accordingly.
4. Monitoring—Academic calendar provides the outline for faculties to plan their course delivery. HoDs closely monitor that faculties adhere to syllabus coverage unit-wise and for each CIE.
5. CIE—For theory subjects IA1, IA2, IA3 and Model exam are held on dates as mentioned in the academic calendar. Question paper set prepared by faculties are scrutinized by HoD according to university standards, and one for IAs is chosen by the Principal. For practical subjects, model exam with viva voce is conducted at end of the semester. Reviews are conducted for project work Additionally class tests, assignments, workout exercises for tutorial subjects, seminars and internships are considered as part of CIE.
6. Outcome—Answer scripts are evaluated by faculties as per key in a fair and transparent manner and CO-PO attainment is calculated considering all metrics as per university regulation.
7. Review—The Principal through HoD meetings periodically reviews the progress department-wise and faculty-wise and provides suitable suggestion to improve efficacy of outcomes.
8. University Exams—End semester theory and practical exam timetable is displayed on notice boards and is conducted as per university norms.
