Department of Mechanical Engineering

Overview

The mechanical engineering department was started in the year 2009, offering both undergraduate (B.E.) and postgraduate (M.E.) programmes. The annual intake of the B.E. programme is 60 students and that of the M.E. is 18. The department provides the students with an environment that stimulates their intellectual growth and personality development. Infrastructure facilities are excellent with well-equipped labs, classrooms and libraries. Our teaching aspects are focused on result oriented and job oriented training and we ensure that these criteria's are fulfilled by high end mentoring techniques such as Analogy based teaching & learning.

Curriculum

The curriculum of the bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is designed to promote and enhance knowledge not only in mechanical engineering but also in the fields like Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Management and Computer Applications. In the first year, students are introduced to fundamentals of Engineering Drawing, Computer Aided Drafting, Mechanics and Basic Mechanical Engineering in addition to mathematics and Science Subjects.
