The central Library is located in a beautiful building having a plinth area of 1000 square metres and it is fully air conditioned. OPAC, circulation counter,book stack section,journal section,reference section,digital library and spacious reading section to accommodate 200 readers are available here.The central library also provides the required books and journals to the department libraries for effective usage.In addition to the hard copies of National and International journals,the library subscribes online journals of DELNET CONSORTIUM-IESTC(INFOTRAC Engineering Science and Technology Collections),NpTEL and NDL.

The college is having two academic blocks namely NEW and OLD academic blocks which constitute class rooms,tutorial rooms, laboratories and staff rooms

The campus of the college is spread over 25 acres of land. It houses the administrative blocks, the academic blocks, well-equipped science laboratories, an auditorium, a gymnasium, library with a reading room, a canteen, a pavilion with a seating capacity of about 1,500 students, NSS room, placement centre, a girls room and a vast playfield which accommodates the Annual Sports events and various inter-college sports tournaments.

The Principals office, Administrative Blocks, and the Faculties of Arts, Science and Education are interconnected with intercoms. There is adequate number of classrooms in the Faculties of Arts, Science and Education blocks where regular classes are held.

SMK FOMRA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY has a well-equipped auditorium with a seating capacity of over 350 people. The auditorium is spacious, well ventilated and has well furnished halls. A regular venue for conferences, workshops and seminars, this auditorium has all the facilities to enhance the learning process and is a vast space that serves the varied requirements of quality education.

The objective behind the auditorium is to enhance the quality of education. To make this possible, the auditorium offers facilities such as LCD projectors, screens, white-boards for delivering lectures. It also provides ample opportunity for our staff and students to exhibit their talents in cultural activities.

Well designed spacious and spotlessly maintained dining halls catering to different needs of students .We have special, north Indian, south Indian, vegetarian, non-vegetarian categories of food served in different messes. Special menus are provided during festival occasions. Separate canteen is also available to cater to the needs of the students.

A fully fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.

The College runs 15 buses for providing transport facility to students from various places in the city. The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students.

A home away from home is the concept of hostels in SMK FOMRA. Separate hostels are provided for both boys and girls with a choice of individual and shared rooms. The students are provided the best possible comfort with well furnished rooms that come with attached bathrooms. A common room with recreational facilities, laundry facilities and mess facilities are features of each of the hostels, besides a visitors' room. Each hostel has been provided with more than one TV with dish connections.

Both the hostels have generators, water coolers, and dining halls with a modern kitchen. Doctors will be available on call from our hospital to take care of the health and always make them feel at home. Both men and women hostels are situated inside the campus and are managed by full time residential wardens.

Keeping this in mind, students are encouraged to take part in all sports & games activities and competitions. Coaching for the students in various games under the supervision of eminent coachers is being arranged. Vast play grounds are provided for sports activities. The institution has commissioned with 3 Sports Academies for Cricket, Badminton and Athletics to tap and consolidate the rural potential students for excelling in sports and game events. The Department of Physical Education is headed by a Physical Director and staffed with assistant physical directors. The Department also utilizes the resources of visiting coaches apart from the regular staff to train sports person.

These facilities are also available to students beyond college hours for preparation of seminars & projects and research-orientated work. Temple

The campus poses a serene view with a beautiful Gnana Poorna Vinayakar Temple withLakshmi Hayakreevar,Veera Anjaneya and Naagaraj idols built at the college premises. The temple is a symbolic house, seat and body of divinity. It is a structure designed to bring human souls and gods together, using symbolism to express the ideas and beliefs of several minds. Several poojas and scared offerings are arranged at the temple in order to sow the seeds of spirituality in the minds of the younger generation.Students can do meditation here to improve their mental capabilities.

Reprographic Services is located in the main block Building. Our regular service hours are Monday to Saturday 8:15 a.m. – 3.15 p.m. We are closed on weekends.

SOLAR POWER PLANT

With a dire need of eco-friendly and conservation demanding environment, fossil fuel exploitation has literally become an abuse and causes great ecological degradation. Solar power is an infinite form of purest energy serving as an eco-friendly energy resource.  In this contest, SMK FOMRA has been promoting eco-friendly electricity generation called “Green electricity”. A 50kW solar power station has been erected over the institution academic block which aids at providing green electricity and also in facilitating necessary backups during power cuts.

SECURITY OFFICE

Security office is constructed at the main entrance. Strict rules and regulation are posed at the sentry point to keep up the decorum of the institution in all possible manners. The securities are provided with special training in dealing with unavoidable and emergency crisis and in regulating traffic at the gate in a regulated comportment.

ROOF TOP RAIN WATER HARVESTING

Apart from promoting green ecology, Conservation of natural resource is much more prominent in maintaining the balance between the ecosystem &an efficient utilization of resources. Taking this fact into consideration we at SMK FOMRA have constructed “Roof top rain water harvesting system at the institution terrace of the New academic block. The runoff from the terrace of the college building is channelized into corresponding recharge wells located at different location of the campus. All the rooftop rainwater outlets discharge into storm water drains and then to the recharge structures. The collected water is purified and used as an alternative water source.

RO PLANT

The campus is enacted with pure Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking water with water coolers in every block to cater to the need of pure and safe drinking water to all. The plant provides an unadulterated and sweet water guaranteeing hoisted proficiency, consistency and is provided with 24x7 hot water facility, owing to consumption safety standards.

COW SHED (KHO-SALA)

The management takes special care in the quality of food and beverage that is being utilized in the institution Canteens & Cafeterias. The college cow-shed  is a house to several inbred organic cows which supplies high quality vitamin rich organic milk which is void of antibiotics, synthetic growth hormones or controversial pesticides that is usually found in other conventional milk. This ensures that the students are enriched with the right and safest nutrient supplies.

POWER HOUSE & GEN.ROOM

The campus is incorporated with high tech Power house which enables the campus to have centralized Air conditioning machine to be operated for various Computer Laboratory, Electrical Laboratories & electronic laboratories, the Conference hall and various other areas. The generator acts as an uninterrupted power supply resource ensuring a 24 hours back up and WIFI service for a sophisticated Campus.
