Electronics and Communication Engineering

Curriculum

The curriculum of the bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is designed to promote and enhance knowledge not only in mechanical engineering but also in the fields like Civil, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Management and Computer Applications. In the first year, students are introduced to fundamentals of Engineering Drawing, Computer Aided Drafting, Mechanics and Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering in addition to mathematics and Science Subjects. From second year to final year, students learn Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Metrology and Measurements, Fluid Mechanics and Machineries, Metallurgy, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of materials, Mechatronics, Engineering Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering, Heat and Mass Transfer, Design of Machine Elements, Machine Drawing, CAD/CAM, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Finite Element Analysis, Automobile Engineering, Elements of Gas Dynamics and Jet Propulsion, Applied Hydraulics and Pneumatics and Power Plant Engineering. The curriculum also includes Management Subjects namely Principles of Management, TQM and Engineering Economics & Cost Analysis; Electrical and Electronics subjects such as Electrical Devices and Control, Electronics and Microprocessors and a general subject namely Environmental Science.
