Degree Programme in Bio-Medical Engineering is a prestigious Undergraduate Programme introduced in the Academic year 2005-2006. This is a populist programme in the sense that it yields excellent employment opportunities Biomedical Engineering is the application of principles and techniques from the physical and engineering sciences to medical and biological problems.
The involvement by students of BME have undergone many internship in various reputed organizations like APOLLO HOSPITALS,MIOT HOSPITALS, SRI RAMACHANDRA HOSPITALS,GLOBAL HOSPITALS and more.
Our department students have passionate about knowing the recent trends in biomedical industry through by attending various workshops conducted by Vi Microsystems, AMS solutions, Sunshine Electronics.
The students of BME have also published research papers in various specializations related to Bio-Medical field with blooming ideas evolving around the existing technology in Annexure-1, Annexure-4, Elsevier and IEEE.
The students of BME have undergone many industrial visits in many reputed organizations like SIT LIFE SCIENCE, BIO VISION PVT LTD, Vi MICRO SYSTEMS, AMS SOLUTIONS and more.
Our Student have secured second place with cash prize in international technical conference Kolkata and also various students have won prizes in national technical symposium conducted by different institutions.
The department of BME is equipped with laboratories such as DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC EQUIPMENT, BIO-MEDICAL INSTRUMENTATION, HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY, BIO CHEMISTRY AND PATHOLOGY are well maintained and modernized with optimal facilities for students to enhance their knowledge.
The laboratories of BME department are engaged with current version of software such as MATLAB, LABVIEW, MULTISIM, and PROTEUS along with hardware equipments for measuring blood pressure, blood flow, body conductivity and more.

Role of Bio Medical Engineers

Bio medical engineer's work closely with medical researchers to identify important problems that impact human health and solve the problems using technical expertise. Bio medical engineers are engaged in several outcome oriented researches and are motivated to develop & maintain innovative appliances to support the noble cause of health care services.
