The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year of 2001 at Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute of Technology. The department is accredited by NBA and functions with an objective to impart education comprehensively & prepare students for a professional career in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department imparts courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The department provides various state-of-the-art facilities for the overall development of its students and faculty .M.E in Power System Engineering was started in the year 2012.The department is being supported by several well qualified and experienced faculty members. The faculty members are specialized in the core fields of electrical and electronics engineering subjects like Power System, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, applied Electronics and High Voltage Engineering. Many students and staff are members of professional bodies like IEEE and ISTE. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a Post Graduate course on M.E (Power Systems Engineering). The PG Program was started in the year 2013 with a team of highly qualified, dedicated and motivated faculty members incorporating well established laboratories. The course was started with an aim to indoctrinate higher education and research in students and help them acquire profundity in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.

The department is in collaboration with a technical society called SPARKZ which promotes professional activities throughout the year to develop the leadership, organizational and technical skills in students. Opportunities are given for student to participate in various technical and non-technical forums. Students are made to take up industry based projects. Management renders support to faculties to take up Quality Improvement programs (QIP) for providing a insight onto the plethora of technical education and measures to inculcate application based learning in students. Google class rooms are enacted with a mission for making doubt clarification sessions and outcome based learning a reality. Nearly 18,000 journals comprising of national and international articles are made available to students through DELNET subscription to promote literature survey a plausible practice during their final year project groundwork initialization.
